‘일본군 위안부 피해자 지원사업’이 포함됐다. 정부는 지난 8월 전국 지자체에 중복대상 사업을 통보하면서 경기도와 대구시의 ‘일본군 위안부 피해자 생활안정지원’ 사업을 포함시켰다. 경기도는 위안부 할머니 12명에게 도비와 시비 등으로 매월 60만원을 지원하고 있다. 대구시도 4명의 위안부 피해자에게 시비 50만원과 구비 20만원을 포함해 최대 월 70만원을 광역자치단체에 살고 있다. 정부는 ‘위안부 피해자법’에 따라 1인당 월 104만원을 지급하고 있지만 지자체들은 이 돈 대부분이 의료비로 쓰여 생활비가 부족하다고 보고 자체 예산을 마련해 추가 지원을 해 오고 있다. 지자체의 재정능력에 따라 20만~85만원선이다. 복지부 관계자는 “여성가족부에서 위안부 생활안정자금이 나가고 있는데 지자체가 더 주는 것은 중복 복지사업에 해당한다”고 밝혔다. ‘중복’으로 분류된 지자체 위안부 지원금은 폐지될 가능성이 높다. 정부의 ‘유사·중복 사회보장사업 정비지침’에는 중앙정부 사업과 동일 목적의 현금성 급여는 폐지를 권고하고 즉시 폐지가 곤란한 경우 단계적 폐지를 추진하도록 했다. <br><br>복지부 관계자는 “지자체가 사업을 계속하겠다고 하면 페널티를 가할 방법이 없다”는
