(생명과학대사전)</p> <p style="margin:0px 0px 19px;padding:0px;">사람이 유전자가 다른 이성에게 매력을 느끼는 이유는 서로 다른 유전자 결합이 생존 경쟁에서 유리하기 때문으로 알려졌다.<br>이에 여성은 자신의 체취와 다른 남성에게 이끌리는 것으로 연구결과 드러났다. 반면 남성은 여성과 달랐다.</p> <p style="margin:0px 0px 19px;padding:0px;">연구팀은 가임기에 접어든 여성 40명에게 겨드랑이에 패드를 하루 동안 부착하게 한 후 표본을 모았다. 이때 여성에게 혼자 잠을 자도록 지시했다.</p> <p style="margin:0px 0px 19px;padding:0px;">그 후 남성 100명을 대상으로 남성의 HLA과 닮은 여성 4명의 체취와 반대되는 여성 4명의 체취를 맡게 하며 체취의 강도, 매력, 호감도를 살폈다.</p> <p style="margin:0px 0px 19px;padding:0px;">실험 결과 남성은 HLA에 반응을 보이지 않았다. 되레 체취가 강한 여성에게 불쾌한 감정을 드러내며 최하점수를 주기도 했다.</p> <p style="margin:0px 0px 19px;padding:0px;">연구팀 심리학 박사 야넥 로브마이어는 “이번 연구에서 남성은 임신이 가능한 배란기 여성의 체취에 반응을 보이며 매력적으로 받아들이는 것이 일부 입증됐다”며 “남성도 유전자 차이를 중요시하지만 여성만큼은 아니다”라고 설명했다.</p> <p style="margin:0px 0px 19px;padding:0px;">한편 캘리포니아대 제임스 로니 심리학 교수는 이번 연구결과를 두고 “남성은 생식 능력의 수준을 나타내는 여성의 젊음과 건강한 체형에 이끌리는 건 모두가 알고 있는 사실”이라며 “눈으로 볼 수 없는 세포 단위의 수수께끼를 푸는 단서가 된듯하다”고 평가했다.</p></section></div></div></div></div></div>
