line-height: 22px; word-break: break-all; width: 443px;">요즘 ‘위안부’ 문제를 놓고 한국과 일본이 첨예하게 대립하고 있습니다. 얼마 전, 일본 정부는 위안부 문제에 대해 일본의 법적 책임이 없다고 발언했습니다. 하지만 우리나라 정부는 이에 대해 제대로 된 대처를 하지 못하고 있을 뿐 아니라 위안부 문제에 대해 지원도 많이 부족한 것이 현실입니다. 국민들 또한 독도 문제에 대해서는 많은 관심을 갖고 있는 것에 비해 위안부 문제에 대해서는 무관심하며 제대로 알지 못하는 사람들도 많습니다. <br><br>사실 일본군 위안부 문제는 대한민국이 해방된 이후 오래전부터 해결해야 할 문제였습니다. 하지만 일본 정부는 제대로 된 사과와 보상 등의 조취를 취하지 않았고 우리나라 정부 또한 적극적으로 나서지 않았습니다. 그렇게 위안부 문제는 역사의 뒤안길로 멀어져갔고 위안부로 끌려갔던 당시 꽃다운 나이였던 소녀들은 이제 머리가 하얗게 센 할머니가 되었습니다. 그 중 많은 분들은 끝내 제대로 된 사과조차 받지 못한 채 눈을 감으셔야 했습니다. <br><br>제가 모금 청원을 하고 싶은 곳은 위안부 할머니들이 모여 살고 계시는 광주 나눔의 집의 부설기관으로 설립된 ‘일본군 위안부 역사관’입니다. 아픔을 간직한 할머니들의 보금자리 옆에 마련된, 살아있는 역사의 현장이라고 할 수 있는 곳입니다. 이 역사관은 세계 최초 성노예 주제 인권박물관이라는 점에서 큰 의미가 있고, 연간 일본인 3천명을 포함해서 1만명이 찾는 등 위안부 문제를 널리 알리는 데 중요한 역할을 하는 역사교육 시설입니다. 하지만 일본군 위안부 역사관은 현재 정부로부터 운영비가 지원되지 않고 있습니다. 역사관 입장료 수입으로 나눔의 집 직원과 자원봉사자들에 의해 힘겹게 운영되고 있는 실정입니다. 때문에 이 역사관은 1998년 개설된 이래로 14년이란 세월이 흘러 개·보수해야 하는 실정임에도 불구하고 예산 부족으로 보수를 시작하지 못하고 있습니다.<br><br>여러분의 관심과 손길을 모아 우리나라의 올바른 역사를 널리 알리는데 함께하길 희망합니다. <br><br><br>연합뉴스 김경태 기자 기사 참고 <br><기사 원문: http://news.nate.com/view/20120913n05015></p></div></p>
