style="margin:10px 0px;padding:0px;line-height:1.6;">한참을 불러보며 찾아보니 비온 뒤라서 땅위에 호랑이 발자욱이 보였던 것이다. </p> <p style="margin:10px 0px;padding:0px;line-height:1.6;">호랑이를 본 사람이 흔한 이 마을 사람인데도 겁이 덜컹 났다. 그래서 얼른 동네로 달려와서 소리 지르며 징을 치고 방송으로 사람을 모으고 딸이 호랑이한테 물려간 사실을 알렸다.</p> <p style="margin:10px 0px;padding:0px;line-height:1.6;"><strong>"우리 딸이 호랑이한테 물려갔다~" </strong></p> <p style="margin:10px 마을사람들이 징을 치며 다시 가서 살펴보니 우거진 긴 풀 숲을 호랑이가 헤치고 간 길이 있었다고 한다. <p style="margin:10px 0px;padding:0px;"> </p> <p style="margin:10px 0px;padding:0px;line-height:1.6;">헤쳐진 고랑길을 계속 찾아가니 바위절벽이 나왔고 호랑이가 다른 길로 간 흔적은 없었다. 그래서 마을 사람들은 돌아왔다.</p> <p style="margin:10px 0px;padding:0px;line-height:1.6;">그런 뒤 마을사람들은 무서워서 더 이상 숲에 가려고 하지 않았다.</p> <p style="margin:10px 0px;padding:0px;line-height:1.6;">할 수 없이 부모와 친척들만이 바위산을 뒤로 멀게 돌아서 산 정상을 오르게 되었다.</p> <p style="margin:10px 0px;padding:0px;line-height:1.6;">그런데 바로 거기에 땅을 파고 거꾸로 황양이 엎어져 있었던 것이었다.</p> <p style="margin:10px 0px;padding:0px;line-height:1.6;"><strong>바위산 정상 구덩이에 엎어져 있던 황양 </strong></p> <p style="margin:10px 0px;padding:0px;line-height:1.6;">그리고 그학생의 흰 런닝구 등에 호랑이 발자욱이 찍혀 있었다. 호랑이가 여학생을 업고 바위절벽을 기어 올라와 여기서 잠시 감추어 두고 쉬다가 동네사람들의 징소리를 듣고 자리를 피하여 근처에서 관망하던 참이였다.</p> <p style="margin:10px 0px;padding:0px;line-height:1.6;">다행히 황양의 몸에는 아무 상처도 없었고 혼수상태로 정신을 잃고 있었다.</p> <p style="margin:10px 0px;padding:0px;line-height:1.6;"><strong>집에 돌아온 후에도 한동안 혼수상태에서 깨어나질 못했으니... </strong></p> <p style="margin:10px 0px;padding:0px;line-height:1.6;">그래서 얼른 들쳐업고 집으로 돌아왔으나 혼수상태가 계속돼 그 당시 산외병원 의사가 왕진을 갔었다.</p> <p style="margin:10px 0px;padding:0px;line-height:1.6;">의사가 황양을 살피니 눈동자가 초점이 없고 입에서는 침을 줄줄 흘리고 있었다. 의사가 주사를 놓고 치료를 하였고 황양은 10일간 결석을 하였다.</p> <p style="margin:10px 0px;padding:0px;line-height:1.6;">학교에 돌아온 학생의 말을 결석한 비밀을 숨기려는 거짓말 핑계로 알고 그날의 이야기를 다시 물어보았다. 그러자 황양은 갑자기 나타나는 괴물에 정신을 잃었고 그 외에는 전혀 기억이 없다고 하였다.</p> <p style="margin:10px 0px;padding:0px;line-height:1.6;"><strong>"갑자기 튀어나온 괴물에 정신을 잃었다" </strong></p> <p style="margin:10px 0px;padding:0px;line-height:1.6;">여러번 유도하여 다시 물어보아도 갑자기 튀어 나온 괴물에게 정신을 잃었다는 것이었다. </p> <p style="margin:10px 0px;padding:0px;line-height:1.6;">그래도 학교 담임교사로서는 너무나 황당한 이야기로서 믿을 수 없는 일이라서 지도부에서 상담을 해보았고 학부형의 이야기도 들었으나 선뜻 믿을 수 없었다.</p> <p style="margin:10px 0px;padding:0px;line-height:1.6;">그래서 주변사람들의 이야기를 들으려고 그 학생의 마을로 가정방문을 나갔다. 나가면서 기자는 남녀 학생의 스캔들이나 가출로 알고 조사를 하려고 마음 먹고 찾아갔다.</p> <p style="margin:10px 0px;padding:0px;line-height:1.6;"><strong>담임 교사는 사실 확인차 직접 가정방문에 나섰고... </strong></p> <p style="margin:10px 0px;padding:0px;line-height:1.6;">마침 그날이 정읍군 산외면 퇴비증산의 독려의 날이라서 정읍군청 직원(위생과;권진오) 출장독려팀 들도 와서 있었다. 정읍군청직원과 쌍정마을 이장등 마을사람 10여명이 있는 자리에서 호랑이에게 물려간 이 마을 여학생의 사건이 정말이냐고 물어보았다. 그랬더니 호랑이를 자주 보았다는 이야기를 여러사람이 했다.</p> <p style="margin:10px 0px;padding:0px;line-height:1.6;">기자는 수사관처럼 의문을 제시했으니, 호랑이한테 물려갔으면 잇발 자욱이나 상처가 있어야 하는데 왜 그 여학생의 몸에는 상처가 없더라 했더니.. "저런 사람은 호랑이한테 한번 물려가 보아야 한다"느니..., "저런 사람이 어떻게 학교 담임선생이래여..." 하며 책망이 대단했다.</p> <p style="margin:10px 0px;padding:0px;line-height:1.6;"><strong>의문 제시하자, "저런 사람은 호랑이한테 한번 물려가 보아야 한다!" </strong></p> <p style="margin:10px 0px;padding:0px;line-height:1.6;">그중에서 직접 호랑이를 본 사람이 체험담을 말했다. 밤에 동네 모정에서 놀다가 집에 들어가려고 골목을 들어서려니까 담 위에서 호랑이가 엎드려 노려보고 있었는데 다리가 떨어지지 않아서 한참 죽은 것처럼 서있었다고 하였다.</p> <p <p style="margin:10px 0px;padding:0px;line-height:1.6;">산외면 쌍정마을은 칠보발전소 북쪽의 마을로서 예부터 허장군 신당과 구둘재고개, 발전소 굿무당 무속인의 돼지머리 산신 제물과 호랑이를 신으로 아는 태초의 토탬 신앙에서 표범호랑이가 이 지역에 나타난 것으로 알려졌다.</p> <p
